Setting the Sales Price¶
Overview¶
Once material, work, and additional costs are in place, use the calculation header to derive a sales price from the total cost.
Cost totals¶
The header shows FlowFields summing the calculation's lines by type:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Tot. Material Cost | Sum of Material-type lines. |
| Tot. Capacity Cost | Sum of Work/Routing-type lines. |
| Tot. Additional Cost | Sum of Additional-type lines. |
| Subcontracted Cost | Portion of capacity cost from subcontracted operations. |
| Tot. Cost | The sum of all cost lines. |
Calculation Method¶
Calculation Method controls which of Sales Price or Calculation Factor is the "driver":
- Sales Price = Cost × Calc. Factor — enter a Calculation Factor, and the Sales Price is derived from it.
- Calc. Factor = Sales Price ÷ Cost — enter a Sales Price directly, and the Calculation Factor is derived from it.
Editing either Sales Price or Calc. Factor automatically recalculates the other, based on Total Cost and the selected Calculation Method.
Locking a calculation¶
Set Locked once the calculation is final. A locked calculation cannot be edited — its header and lines are protected from further changes until it's unlocked again.
