Deferrals¶
Overview¶
Dynapro Trade adds a simplified way to defer revenue or cost, without opening the standard multi-step deferral schedule dialog. Finance and accounting staff use this when entering sales lines, purchase lines, or general journal lines.
Setting a Deferral¶
When Simplified Deferral is on in setup, sales lines, purchase lines, and general journal lines show two extra fields:

| Deferral Start Date | The date the deferral schedule starts. |
| Deferral No. of Periods | The number of periods to spread the amount over. |
Enter either field and the app recalculates the underlying deferral schedule automatically — you do not need to open the standard deferral schedule page.
Reviewing the Schedule¶
The Deferral Lines factbox shows the resulting schedule — posting date, description, and amount for each period — so you can confirm it before posting.
