Disposition & Severity
Overview
Once a deviation is registered, classify its impact and record what was decided about the affected goods. This information drives corrective action and, later, reporting.
Item Disposition
Set Item Disposition to record what happened to the affected goods:
| Value |
Meaning |

Not yet decided. |
| Used |
The goods were used as-is. |
| Scrapped |
The goods were discarded. See Inventory Adjustment to post a negative stock adjustment. |
| Repaired |
The goods were repaired and can be used. |
| Other |
Any other outcome — describe it in Comment for Disposition. |
Cause and consequence

Severity
Enter a numeric Severity value, or use the Severity Selection lookup to pick from the configured severity bands instead of typing a raw number. See Classification Setup for how severity bands are configured.
