Photos & Related Documents¶

Overview¶

Attach visual and documentary evidence to a Deviation Report — photos, technical drawings, standard file attachments, and links to related sales, purchase, or production documents.

Photos¶

The Deviation Report card has an Images factbox with:

A count of attached images.
Upload Image — pick a photo file from your device.
Take Picture — capture a photo directly with the device camera, useful on tablets or phones on the shop floor.

Clicking the image count opens a list of all attached images, where you can:

View each image and its filename.
Download an image back to your device.
Delete an image, which removes it from both the list and the deviation report.

Standard document attachments¶

For non-photo files (PDFs, drawings, correspondence), use the standard Attachments factbox on the Deviation Report, the same as on other Business Central documents. Attachments follow the report if it's renumbered, and are removed if the report is deleted.

Technical Drawings¶

Add one or more Technical Drawing numbers directly on the Deviation Report to record which drawings are relevant to the deviation.

Link the deviation to other Business Central documents using the Related Documents sub-list. Supported document types:

Sales Order
Purchase Order
Production Order
Posted Sales Invoice

Automatic customer/vendor linking

Linking a Sales Order or Purchase Order automatically fills in the Sell-to Customer or Buy-from Vendor field on the deviation report. Removing the link clears it again.
