Setup & Permissions

Overview

The Dynapro Service Management Setup page controls whether the module is active and how its features behave. An administrator enables the module, sets defaults, and assigns permission sets. Open it by searching for Dynapro Service Management Setup (search term Service Setup) in Business Central. The same fields also appear as a Dynapro Service Management FastTab on the standard Service Mgt. Setup page.

Prerequisites

  • The Dynapro Service Management app and the Dynapro Licensing Client are installed.
  • An active subscription, or a trial (see below).
  • An administrator permission set for setup.

Enabling the Module

  1. Open Dynapro Service Management Setup.
  2. Turn on Enable Dynapro Service Management. This switches on the application area so the added fields and actions become visible.
  3. Configure the defaults below.

When the subscription is inactive, the added fields and actions are hidden or disabled regardless of this switch.

Permission Sets

Permission Set Audience Grants
Dynapro Service Dispatchers, technicians, service managers Full read/write on all Dynapro Service tables and execute on all its pages, reports, and codeunits.
Dynapro Service Read View-only users and reporting Read-only access to the Dynapro Service data.

The app also extends the standard Microsoft role permission sets (Administrator, D365 Full Access, D365 Premium, D365 Team Member, and others), so users with those roles automatically gain the matching Service Management access.
