What is Dynapro Transport Management?

Dynapro Transport Management lets you define transport pricing rules — by geographic zone, container type, weight or volume, and shipping agent — and then apply, calculate, and communicate those transport costs and logistics details directly on your sales orders.

The product is built from two layers, documented here as one continuous feature set:

  • A base data model for zones, prices, container types, and the fields it adds to standard sales, shipping, and post code data.
  • A planning layer — the Transport Planning worksheet, factboxes, sales order additions, and the Transport Notification document — that requires an active Dynapro license/subscription to appear in Business Central.

  1. Set up transport zones, loading zones, container types, and the transport price matrix — see Transport Zones & Loading Zones and Transport Prices & Container Types.
  2. Map post codes to transport zones so delivery zones populate automatically — see Post Code Mapping.
  3. Configure shipping agents with vendor links and notification preferences — see Shipping Agents.
  4. Sales orders pick up the loading/delivery zone and calculated price automatically, with manual override available — see Transport Pricing on Sales Orders.
  5. Plan and process shipments in bulk using the Transport Planning worksheet — see Transport Planning Worksheet.
  6. Send a Transport Notification to the shipping agent — see Transport Notification Document.

Licensing

The planning layer (Transport Planning worksheet, factoboxes, sales order additions, Transport Notification document) requires an active Dynapro license/subscription. If the subscription is missing or expired, these features are hidden or blocked. See Setup & Permissions.
