Transport Notification Document¶
Overview¶
The Transport Notification is a printable and emailable pickup/delivery advice for a sales order, typically sent to the shipping agent handling the shipment.
What it contains¶
- Order number and shipment date.
- Loading zone and pickup time.
- Shipping agent.
- Delivery zone and the full ship-to address.
- Transport comment and customer name.
- Total net/gross delivery weight.
- Your company's name, address, phone number, and logo.
Generating and sending it¶
- From the Transport Planning Worksheet, use Send Transport Notification to email it to the shipping agent for one or more selected orders (all must share the same agent), optionally attaching the picking list as a PDF.
- The document is also registered in Business Central's standard Report Selections, under the Sales report selections, alongside Confirmation, Shipment, and Invoice reports — so it can be configured to print or attach automatically like other sales reports.
