Post Code Mapping¶
Overview¶
Map post codes to transport zones so a sales order's delivery zone can be filled in automatically based on the customer's ship-to post code or city.
Mapping a post code¶
On the standard Post Codes page, a Transport Zone field is added. The lookup is filtered to zones matching the post code's own country/region, so you only see zones relevant to that country.
Automatic zone lookup on sales orders¶
When a sales document's Ship-to Post Code or Ship-to City is entered or changed, the app looks up the matching Post Code record and copies its Transport Zone into the sales document's Delivery Zone field automatically. You can still override the Delivery Zone manually on the sales order if needed — see Transport Pricing on Sales Orders.
