Carrier & Product Selection¶
Overview¶
Cargonizer manages carriers, service levels (products), and add-on services. Business Central syncs this data on demand. Your carrier list in BC always reflects what is available in your Cargonizer account.
Syncing Carrier Data from Cargonizer¶
Run Retrieve Cargonizer Account Data from the Cargonizer Setup page or the Transport Orders list. This action:
- Fetches Transport Agreements (carriers) from Cargonizer's
transport_agreements.xmlendpoint. - Fetches Printers from Cargonizer's
printers.xmlendpoint. - Updates the corresponding tables in Business Central.
You can also schedule this sync to run automatically via the Job Queue.
Transport Agreements (Carriers)¶
Each Transport Agreement record in Business Central represents a carrier account in Cargonizer (e.g., PostNord, DHL, Bring). Transport Agreements are linked to Business Central Shipping Agents (table 291).
The Connected to Cargonizer indicator on the Shipping Agent card shows whether Business Central synced an active agreement for that carrier.
Products (Service Levels)¶
Each carrier agreement contains one or more Products, which represent service levels such as: - Next-day delivery - Economy parcel - Pallet freight - Express overnight
Products are listed on the Carrier Products page and are filtered automatically on the transport order so only products belonging to the selected carrier agreement are shown.
Dangerous Goods Filtering¶
When a transport order is flagged as containing dangerous goods, only products that support hazardous materials are displayed. See Dangerous Goods.
Services (Add-On Options)¶
Each product can offer optional Services, such as: - Delivery notification (SMS / email) - Signature on delivery - Cash on Delivery (see Cash on Delivery) - Return label generation - Temperature-controlled transport
Services are selected per transport order on the Transport Order Services subpage.
Setting Defaults per Location¶
For companies with multiple warehouses or shipping locations, configure a default carrier, product, and printer per Location in Business Central. This ensures Business Central uses the correct carrier account when shipping from each warehouse without requiring manual selection.
See Multi-Warehouse Sender IDs for configuration details.
Setting Defaults per User¶
You can also configure a default carrier, product, and printer per User Setup record. The user-level default takes precedence over the location-level default when both are set.
Carrier Priority Resolution¶
When determining which carrier to use for a new transport order, the system resolves defaults in this order:
- User Setup default (highest priority)
- Location default
- Global setup default (lowest priority)
The same priority chain applies to printer selection.
