Move Components

Overview

Move Components moves production order components from the OPC staging or picking location to another location. OPC posts an item reclassification so inventory reflects where the components physically are. Only operators whose Machine Center has Allow OPC Move can use this function.

Open OPC Move Components from the Move Components action on the operation list.

Moving Components

  1. Open the operation and choose Move Components.
  2. For each line, enter the quantity to move in Ship Now (Qty.).
  3. Set the New Location Code — the target location.
  4. Choose Post Move.

OPC checks that a target location is set and that it differs from the OPC move location, then posts the reclassification.
