Resource Status Board

Overview

The OPC Resource Status board is a live view of which resources are clocked onto which operation right now. Each row is an open run-time — a resource that has started time on an operation but has not ended it. Supervisors use the board to monitor the floor, and it supports logging an operator out by scanning a badge.

Open the board from the Resource Status cue on the Role Center.

Reading the Board

The board is headed Work Done at Machine Center and shows one read-only row per open run-time:

Field Description
Machine Center The resource that is working.
Description The resource description.
Stop Code The indirect time code, when the row is indirect time.
Prod. Order No. The production order being worked on.
Operation No. The operation.
Starting Date / Starting Time When the resource started.
Work Done at M.C. The work registered at the machine center.

Only run-times with a valid start and no end date appear on the board.

Logging an Operator Out by Badge

Use the Log Out Employee field to close an operator's open operation without opening their card:

  1. Place the cursor in the Log Out Employee field.
  2. Scan the operator's badge (or type the employee/Machine Center number).
  3. OPC finds the operator's open run-time, marks it to finish now, and posts it.

This is a fast way to clock resources out of operations at a shared terminal.

Barcode Scanning

When Enable Bar Code Scanning is on in setup, OPC uses a small control add-in to place the input focus into the right field automatically. This lets a scanner feed straight into the Log Out Employee and Register employee fields for hands-free operation. No visual panel is added — the add-in only manages focus.
